Apple Updates MacBooks and Mac Pro Desktop With Haswell, "Unified Thermal Core"

ravenspear Re:What the hell? (464 comments)

In an office, you might have a problem when the cleaning person tries to empty it. However, no worries since Apple products aren't often found in offices that can afford a cleaning person.

I see just as many Macs as PCs at my company and we have multiple cleaning people that clean every day.

Intelsat Signs Launch Contract With SpaceX

ravenspear Re:Chief Designer? (167 comments)

If Elon Musk designed anything more potent than the paint scheme on the side of the rocket, then I'm the Pope.

He has 3 physics degrees including a graduate degree from Stanford. He's not an empty suit manager type.

Space Junk Forced Astronauts Into ISS Escape Capsules

ravenspear Re:Would Lockheed's Orion be any use? (87 comments)

Actually Congress IS funding manned flights that will cost a LOT more than 450 mil on SLS/Orion.

In fact NASA requested more funding for commercial crew recently and less for SLS/Orion and Congress did NOT like that.

Humanity (or human like creatures) survived for several hundred thousand years without modern medicine. If the body was not capable of developing defenses to disease we wouldn't still be here.
