TrueCrypt Website Says To Switch To BitLocker

rock56501 What! (566 comments)

The website itself says that integrated encryption is supported in Windows 8/7/Vista, but when you go to MS's website about Bitlocker for Win 7, it says that it's only supported in Enterprise and Ultimate versions of Windows 7. Guess everyone on Home / Pro versions gets screwed!

Reminds me of the comment on the PBS documentary called "Carrier," one of the Sailors said the ratio on the ship was "Eight hot dogs to one bun!"

Noisemakers in all new Hybrid's/EV are required under a law that was passed during the lame-duck congressional session in Dec 2010. Toyota's Prius started putting them in the 2012 models.

AT&T Buries ToS Changes In 2500-Page Guide

rock56501 *sigh* (99 comments)

It's sad to hear about things like this. No reasonable person with a life is going to read that. I guess I actually appreciate the press bringing this to light so some kind of action can be taken on it.

It also makes me glad that I don't live in CA and that I am on Vonage.

US Military unlikely to intercept NK missile.

rock56501 rock56501 writes  |  more than 5 years ago

rock56501 (1301287) writes "US Defense Secretary Gates had an interview with Fox News [Fox News] today in regards to the upcoming suspected North Korean missile test. When asked whether there's anything the United States can do about this, he flatly responds 'No.' When asked whether the US may attempt to shoot down the missile, he simply responds 'I think if we had an aberrant missile, one that was headed for Hawaii, that looked like it was headed for Hawaii or something like that, we might consider it.'"
