thestudio_bob Re:Why? (232 comments)

Because the first one, "Fucking patents - how do they work?" was thought to be in contempt.

You and your conspiracy theories. I heard that it didn't have enough double rainbows.

Judge Overrules Samsung Objection To Jury Instructional Video

thestudio_bob Re:Which is why Apple does product placement (232 comments)

Apple isn't the only company that does product placement, but they are by far the most common computer company that does it.

Are you delusional? If you don't think Samsung is out spending EVERYBODY right now, then you are nuts. They spend a considerable ( amount of money, on not only Ads, but "product placement" (Hello Academy Awards selfie) and other crap.

It may have been the case a few years ago that Apple out spent everyone on marketing, but this hasn't been the case for a few years.

Target and Trustwave Sued Over Credit Card Breach

thestudio_bob Sad that it might take a lawsuit... (87 comments)

I wish there were better ways of reporting broken sites. I just tried to inform that there SSL was messed up, but the told me to reset my cookies. Lol.

How do you report something like this, if their own "support" is either ignorant or not prepared to deal with these issues. Obviously, someone at Target new of the problems, but couldn't get upper management to listen.

Doctors Say Food Stamp Cuts Could Cause Higher Healthcare Costs

thestudio_bob Re:As someone on food stamps... (1043 comments)

I truly wish people would understand this.

Pretty much, anything processed is going to be either high in salt, sugar or fats.

I have no problems with food stamps, but I wish that you could only buy fruits, vegetables, grains and meat with them. Not only would people be healthier, but they would actually be saving money as well. Yes, believe it or not, healthy food cost less. Mainly, because YOU have to prepare it and cook it.

The W3C Sells Out Users Without Seeming To Get Anything In Return

thestudio_bob Sad (348 comments)

The abuse of DRM by corporations, governments and people more interested in restricting information, far out weighs any benefit given to the average consumer. I, for one, am totally in disbelief that the W3C caved in on this.

Have you been living under a rock? You seriously haven't heard any of the gazillion rumors about Apple's rumored secret TV project they've been working on. And no, not the (Even Apple calls it a hobby) AppleTV.

No Love From Ars For Samsung's New Smart Watch

thestudio_bob iWatch (236 comments)

Wouldn't it be funny, if iWatch was for the name for the rumored TV product that Apple is supposedly working on.

Like in "Watching TV", not "I wear a watch".

...But, rest assured the LAPD would have burned the boat to the ground.

After shooting up the neighborhood, killing some random families dog, busting in on the wrong house and bitch slapping a mother while her child watches, accidentally setting fire to the house and reniggin on the reward.

The dark little secret about IE9 and CSS3

thestudio_bob thestudio_bob writes  |  about 4 years ago

thestudio_bob (894258) writes "Microsoft has updated IE to support CSS3 selectors and rounded corners, they want us to believe that somehow IE9 magically supports the whole slew of CSS3 visual styling. I'm afraid it doesn't. As a matter of fact, IE9's support for CSS3 visual styling is so poor that the results are shocking. Firefox, Chrome and Safari can render graphically rich interfaces using the sophisticated features of CSS3. IE9 does, well, rounded corners. That's why I'm saying: IE9 is the IE6 of CSS3. Repeat that a few times until it sinks in because if you do Web development, you're going to have to deal with it."
