Would you pay/do something for an @linux.com address?

warpeightbot Re:I'd pay for @linux.com, if.... (216 comments)

OK, that does it. VA Linux has gone proprietary, ditto Sourceforge, the latter has resorted to spamming me, the Slashdot leadership has resorted to threadmoderationspamming anything they don't like, and now it's personal. This will be my last post, I think; I'm going to set Junkbuster so that the ads on here are never loaded (and thus never give revenue), and then I'm setting off to find a site where I can get decent tech/geek news without all this bullshit. Or, hell, maybe I'll just make one. I don't know. All I know is that I am sick and tired of the whole mess.

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised to find VA in negotiations with the Borg after this.

Moderators do your worst, I don't bloody care. It's not like it's going to matter.

Anybody with access to a buttload of bandwidth and a yen for something better, feel free to decipher the address above. There's a fundamental problem with news media being a publically traded company.... maximizing shareholder value is often at direct odds with the truth.
