zumbojo (615389) writes "I am currently finishing up my first year of graduate school (with the goal of an M.S. in C.S.) and I now have the choice of three options for my final year: Thesis, Project, or Coursework. For those who have faced the same decision: Have potential employers asked for thesis outlines during interviews? Did the intense hands-on experience of an academic project affect how you get things done today? Or, bearing in mind that I have already been recruited by a Very Large Company(TM), is it safe to take the easy route (just a few additional classes)?"
