Comment NetBunny (Score 1) 366

About 17 years ago we had a hack called NetBunny that would send the energizer bunny from one lab computer to the next. It ran on classic MacOS. Apparently it was updated to 'NetBunny 2 1/2'.

An OS X port came out called NetBunnyX.

Now I can't find much info on it. But it definitely had the feeling of innocent, kid friendly malware.

In the case of Indonesia, the rainforest is being cut illegally to supply China with wood and paper (and hence US bound products). You can't just "replant" an ecosystem like a rainforest because it has a lot of fragile symbiotic relationships. Once its gone, it becomes cattle grazing land (see australia or southern mexico for examples).

This is why Forest Stewardship Council lumber and paper products should be promoted.

"Theobromine is the major alkaloid in cacao (Theobroma cacao). Caffeine, on the other hand, is only to be found in cacao in very small quantities and theophylline only in trace amounts."

Off topic, but good to know: Cacao beans must be fumigated for pests when they exit their country of origin and when they enter the USA. They must also be fumigated once a year thereafter. Because they remain usable for food products for up to 20 years, your chocolate may have been fumigated dozens of times.
