It is a false claim that the information was "retroactively classified". It was classified at the time of sending and receiving. There was information that is always classified highly, information about methods and sources. Even Hillary does not make that claim that it was "retroactively classified" anymore. She says it was not marked at the time, which is a meaningless distinction. Classified information is about what the information is about not the markings. A number of people have been sentenced for information that was not marked. Leaking the name of Valerie Plame a CIA agent led to a long investigation with Scooter Libby going to prison. This information was not marked. David Petraeus was disgraced and sentenced to two years probation and fined $100,000 for having person journals of his time serving this country and sharing them with his biographer. I doubt his personal journals contained security markings. Many people thought he got off too easy. In summary, if Hillary was a regular person she would most likely be going to prison.

People involved in politics have noticed that science can be used to help them advocate for changes they would like. There are many studies that are designed to provide a talking point rather than actually determine if something is really the case. This is unfortunate and leads people to trust science less because they see numerous instance where the science was politicized.

Way to muddy the waters. Palin used her official state email. She also used a yahoo email. It is illegal to use official email for campaigning tasks. So you have to have both. Someone hacked her yahoo account and release all her emails. She did not get to decide what was released. All of her emails were released she did not get to pick which ones were released. Hillary not only picked the emails that were released she carefully wiped the server with multiple writes to prevent anyone from being able to recover emails. If she had used yahoo the FBI which is investigating her emails activity (classified TS/SCI information) could have received a copy of all her emails.

Submission + - Hacker Threatens To Sell Hillary Clinton's ENTIRE UNRELEASED Private Emails For (radaronline.com)

sharkbiter writes: Just as email-gate looked to be winding down, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned a person claiming to be a computer specialist has come forward with the stunning news that 32,000 emails from Hillary Clinton‘s private email account are up for sale. The price tag — a whopping $500,000!

Promising to give the trove of the former Secretary of State’s emails to the highest bidder, the specialist is showing subject lines as proof of what appear to be legitimate messages.

Before citizen united we had news organization (corporations) that were allowed to spend unlimited amounts of money pushing a candidate. We still have news organizations pushing for there preferred candidate with no limits or reporting on the amount they spend. Do you even know what citizen united was about? They made a video that was critical of a candidate. Do you really want the government deciding which movies are too political and count as political speech?

The rates are lower in poorer areas. I remember when I was living in little Haiti my basic cable was only $25. I moved there from South Beach where the basic cable rate was $50. The lower rates are required by the government for poorer areas, so companies just skip those areas for service.
